Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Pittsburgh, PA Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jug with tooled spout, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "SCHMIDT & FRIDAY. / WINES & LIQUORS. / PITTSBURGH. / PA.". Cobalt stripe decoration above and at base. Cobalt-script "2" at base, flanked by dashes. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
