Unusual Glazed Redware Vase with Elaborate Signature, Jacob Medinger, Limerick Township, Montgomery County, PA, Dated Feb 15th 1931, ovoid form with footed base, flared collar, and heavily-ribbed handles, the front featuring the large incised inscription, "This vase was made / by Jacob Medinger / Feb 15th 1931 / at the Limerick Pottery". Surface decorated with manganese sponging and covered in a clear lead glaze. Both handles reglued, with restoration along the cracks where the handles are reattached. Some light surface wear. H 11".
