One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Loch Haven, PA Advertising, Western PA origin, circa 1875, ovoid jar with flattened rim, featuring the ornately-stenciled advertising, "FROM / GOOD'S / HARDPAY / GROCERY / LOCH HAVEN / PA.". Freehand stripe decoration to shoulder base. A crudely-restored rim chip to front. A faint 2" surface line to base on right side of jar, not visible on interior. Two original, stray daubs of cobalt to stenciling.
