Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar, Inscribed "OH", Ohio origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder, "wax sealer" rim, and applied handle, decorated with the brushed inscription, "OH", flanked by flourishes. Additional brushwork around the body appears to be an illegible inscription, possibly one or more names. Several small rim chips. A 5" fork-shaped line on underside, extending 2 1/2" up front of jar. H 9 7/8".
