Very Rare Glazed Redware Vase with Applied Heart Decoration, Signed and Dated "Wm. W. Cline / Hartford City, Indiana / Aug. 11th 1904 and Stamped "W.W.C.," ovoid-bodied vase with rounded foot, flared rim, and two open handles, decorated on the front and reverse with an applied clay heart with copper-oxide highlights. Entire surface covered in a clear lead glaze. Incised signature and impressed initials on underside. The finest example of William Washington Cline redware that we have ever offered. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 6 1/4".
