Scarce "St. Edward" Slip-Decorated Redware Plate, Norwalk, CT origin, mid 19th century, with coggled edge, the interior decorated with the name, "St. Edward", in yellow-slip script, underscored by a foliate motif. Very nice condition with some light wear to interior, a minor worn or dry spot to the "w" in "Edward", and a small glazed-over ping to top of "E" in "Edward". Two small rim chips and light surface wear around rim. Diameter 10".
