Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Chicken Waterer, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1880, domed form with stepped finial and applied watering trough to front, decorated with brushed leaves around the shoulder and swags surrounding the opening to the trough, including a leaf to top of trough. Brushed cobalt daub to top of finial. Chips to tip of finial. Chips to edge of trough and short lines emanating from edge of trough. Some light crazing to upper shoulder area. H 11 3/4".
