One-Gallon Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "WM. MOYER.", Harrisburg, PA origin, circa 1858-1861, cylindrical jar with flared collar and applied lug handles, decorated with a brushed design of a tulip plant with additional jagged flourish to the right of the blossom. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and handle terminals. Large network of tight lines on left side of jar, the majority of which are not visible on interior, which extend onto the reverse and front of the jar. Some surface crazing to collar. Minor wear to inner rim for lid.
