Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Asterisk Decoration, probably Palatine, WV, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded "wax sealer" rim, decorated with a large brushed asterisk or star, composed of wavy stripes. Chips to interior of rim and a small chip to inner rim wax sealer rim. H 10 1/4".
