Six-Quart Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird Decoration, Stamped "WEST TROY / N.Y. / POTTERY", circa 1875, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a crested bird perched on a stylized branch. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Desirable size. Excellent condition with a minor chip to right handle, a minor glazed-over chip to left handle, a small glazed-over iron ping to base on left side. Some minor fry to cobalt.
