Unusual Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Flower Basket Decoration, Stamped "WM. E. WARNER / WEST TROY", NY State origin, circa 1850, cylindrical crock with semi-rounded rim and applied lug handles, decorated with an intricate slip-trailed design of a large flower blossom emanating from a stylized basket. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Some fry to cobalt. A rim chip on reverse. A 1" in-the-firing iron ping at base on reverse.
