Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "NORTON & FENTON / BENNINGTON Vt", circa 1845, highly-ovoid jug with squared spout and ribbed handle, decorated with a finely slip-trailed design of three flowers emanating from a central stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition.
