Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "NORTON & FENTON / BENNINGTON Vt", circa 1845, highly-ovoid jug with semi-squared spout and ribbed handle, decorated with a brushed design of three flowers emanating from a curving stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Essentially as-made condition with some fry to centers of flowers, a few in-the-firing flaws to surface, and some staining.
