One-and-a-Half-Gallon Stoneware Cake Crock with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, attributed to Richard C. Remmey, Philadelphia, PA, circa 1880, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and ribbed lug handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a brushed leaf motif. Provenance: Collection of Harry Meyer, McDonald, PA. Two hairlines from rim, measuring approximately 1 3/4" each. Crock is somewhat out-of-round.
