Two-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "N. CLARK JR. / ATHENS NY", circa 1840, squat-shaped jug with semi-rounded spout, decorated with two spotted flowers emanating from a central stem. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Wear to surface, including a small ping to right flower. A 1 7/8" salt drip to side of jug. A 3/4" salt drip to reverse. Two minor base chips.
