Two Pieces of Stoneware with Cobalt Bird Decorations, New York State origin, second half 19th century, a one-gallon jar with slip-trailed bird-on-branch decoration, paired with a four-gallon crock with slip-trailed double-bird decoration, stamped "S. HART / FULTON". One-gallon jar with significant restoration to surface, a crack in end of one handle, lines to body, and wear to inner rim for lid. Hart crock with significant exfoliation, a large base chip, an inverted Y-shaped crack from rim, a Y-shaped crack at base continuing onto underside. and an in-the-firing iron ping to side.
