Three Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jars, American, 19th century, a one-and-a-half-gallon clover-decorated jar, Baltimore, MD origin; a scarce two-gallon ovoid jar with slip-trailed wreath motif, stamped "JACOB CAIRE, / Union Street, Poughkeepsie"; and a two-gallon jar with large brushed floral motif, Northeastern U.S. origin. Baltimore jar in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Caire jar with significant glued cracks. Other jar with a small rim chip, tiny chips to inner rim for lid, some light fry to cobalt, a small in-the-firing, glazed-over ping to shoulder, and an X-shaped line to side of jar near base.
