One-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stamped "JOHN BELL / WAYNESBORO'", PA origin, circa 1850-1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and squared rim, decorated around the shoulder with a brushed swag motif, applied over slip-coated clay. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with some small traces of old red paint to surface.
