One-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Foliate Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with semi-squared rim, decorated on the front and sides with a large brushed leaf. Swag decoration to each side of collar as well as flanking the spout. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A faint hairline on underside, which continues 1" up base on reverse and 3 1/2" up front of pitcher. Otherwise excellent condition.
