Unusual Stoneware Face Pitcher, Inscribed "WHO ARE YOU?", English, probably Lambeth, second quarter 19th century, molded pitcher in the form of a goateed man with cap, inscribed with the molded banner, "WHO ARE YOU?". Surface covered in whitish slip with dipped iron-oxide decoration to top. Possibly a representation of Bacchus. A very tight line on side of pitcher, descending from a small in-the-firing stone ping, and onto underside. H 5 1/2".
