Three Pieces of Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware, Baltimore, MD origin, second or third quarter 19th century, four-gallon jar with double-stemmed clover plant motif on both sides; a one-gallon milkpan with elaborate cobalt floral decoration, and a spittoon with swag and hanging floral motif. Jar with significant Y-shaped crack on one side, descending from a small chip, a faint Y-shaped surface line on underside, and some light exfoliation to reverse. Milkpan missing large section of one handle, with rim chip, minor base chips, all-over surface wear, and a top-to-bottom crack on reverse, extending across underside, and partway up front. Spittoon with large loss extending from opening in top, a 1 3/4" shallow flake to underside at edge, and a minor glazed-over base nick.
