Staunton, VA Stoneware Advertising Canning Jar, attributed to A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and flared rim with wax sealer interior, featuring the stenciled cobalt advertising, "LIPSCOMB & / SOMERVILLE, / STAUNTON, Va.". Provenance: Collection of Lorren Lambert, Staunton, VA. Excellent condition with a small rim chip on side of jar, probably in-the-firing, as well as some very minor wear. H 8 3/8".
