Wheeling, WV Stoneware Advertising Canning Jar, Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with recessed wax sealer rim, the front featuring the elaborate stenciled cobalt advertising, "FRED A. BLUM. / STAPLE & / FANCY / GROCERIES / COR. 36TH. / & 3601 JACOB ST. / WHEELING. W.V.". Provenance: Collection of Lorren Lambert, Staunton, VA. A 1/2" shallow chip to interior of rim. Minor nicks to interior of rim and along inner wax sealer rim. A short, faint hairline from rim on reverse. A few minor areas of staining. H 6".
