Scarce Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Canning Jar with Eagle Motif, Stenciled "T.F. REPPERT. / GREENSBORO. PA", circa 1880, tapered canning jar with semi-rounded wax sealer rim, featuring a stenciled design of a spread-winged eagle surrounding the maker's stenciling, "T.F. REPPERT. / GREENSBORO. PA". Provenance: Collection of Lorren Lambert, Staunton, VA. Essentially as-made condition with areas of fry to cobalt. H 8 1/2".
