Four-Gallon Stoneware Crock with Cobalt Bird-on-Stump Decoration, Stamped "OTTMAN BRO'S / FORT EDWARD, N.Y.", circa 1875, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder, applied lug handles, and semi-rounded rim, decorated with a slip-trailed design of a fat-bodied bird perched on a stump. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark and capacity mark. Some spots of bubbling to cobalt. A few rim chips.
