Three-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Cobalt Grapes Decoration, Stamped "COWDEN & WILCOX / HARRISBURG, PA", circa 1865, ovoid jug with semi-squared spout, decorated with a brushed design of a cluster of grapes hanging from a leafy stem with corkscrewing vine. Cobalt highlights to maker's mark, capacity mark, and handle terminals. Excellent condition with a small spout chip and some tiny spout nicks as well as some staining.
