Two Pieces of Virginia Advertising Stoneware, attributed to A.P. Donaghho, Parkersburg, WV, circa 1880, a one-gallon jar with the stenciled cobalt advertising, "LIPSCOMB & / SOMERVILLE, / STAUNTON, Va.", paired with a one-and-a-half-gallon jug, stenciled "E.B. TAYLOR / Richmond, Va.". Staunton jar with a 2" crack from rim on reverse and minor nicks on interior of rim. Taylor jug with spout chips, two in-the-firing chips / contact marks to shoulder, a small chip to underside at edge, and a minor chip to underside at edge.
