Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "HAMILTON & JONES. / GREENSBORO PA.", circa 1875, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, featuring bands of stenciled flourishes above and below Hamilton & Jones maker's stenciling. Shoulder and base with freehand stripe decoration. Base with cobalt script "2" flanked by dashes. Some in-the-firing warping to one side. Some in-the-firing dark crazing to surface. A minor, in-the-firing chip to underside at edge.
