Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Cobalt Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, tapered jar with tooled shoulder and wax sealer rim, featuring a stylized stenciled foliate design. Very nice overall condition. A 1 3/8" salt drip at base on reverse. A very faint and minor, 3/4" Y-shaped line on left side of front, probably in-the-firing. A minor chip to underside at edge. H 6 1/2".
