Two-Gallon Stoneware Jar, Stamped "A.J. BISHOP", Howells, GA origin, late 19th or early 20th century, cylindrical jar with rounded shoulder and squared rim, the exterior surface covered in a salt glaze, the interior with Albany slip glaze. Impressed with "A.J. BISHOP" maker's mark on shoulder. As-made condition with salt drips to shoulder and a 2" piece of another pot adhered to the shoulder of the jar during the firing.
