Scarce One-Gallon Stoneware Jug with Stenciled Cobalt Eagle Decoration, Stenciled "A.P. Donaghho, / Fredericktown, / Pa.", circa 1875, ovoid jug with tooled spout, decorated with a crisply-stenciled design of a spread-winged Federal eagle with shield, holding arrows and an olive branch. A tight top-to-bottom crack on side of jug. A few typical in-the-firing contact marks to surface.
