Tanware Pitcher, New Geneva or Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1885, ovoid, narrow-bodied pitcher with tall flaring collar, decorated in Albany slip with a sweeping fuchsia vine design around the body, drapes and flourishes to the collar, dashes along the base of the collar, a stripe around the base, and dashes along the handle. Albany slip highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Excellent, essentially as-made condition with a minor in-the-firing contact mark to rim. H 7".
