Large-Sized Tanware Pitcher, New Geneva or Greensboro, PA origin, circa 1885, ovoid pitcher with slightly-flared collar, decorated in Albany slip with a freehand fuchsia vine design. Collar with freehand vining flanking a dash-decorated spout. Albany slip stripes to bottom edge, base of collar and rim. Albany slip dashes to left and right edges of handle and Albany slip highlights to handle terminals. Provenance: David Musser Collection. Restored rim chips. An additional small, unrestored rim chip. A chip to base of handle. H 9 1/2".
