Rare Miniature Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Pitcher, Western PA origin, circa 1875, squat-shaped pitcher with tooled midsection, wide flaring collar, and applied strap handle. Decorated with a brushed cobalt tulip extending up the front, large cobalt dashes on the sides, and dashed brushwork flanking the spout. Exceptional size and extremely rare form for this region. Provenance: Dr. Raymond L. Owen Collection. Small spout chip. A few small rim chips. H 4".
