Two Baltimore, MD Stoneware Jugs, circa 1860-1890, a pinched jug, incised "Brandy", attributed to the Perine Pottery; paired with a half-gallon jug featuring the impressed and cobalt-highlighted advertising, "E.G. HIPSLEY. / GROCERIES & LIQUORS, / NO. 184 N. GAY STREET, / BALTIMORE". Brandy jug in excellent, essentially as-made condition. Hipsley jug missing handle, with 5 1/4" thin crack on reverse, extending onto underside and 5/8" up front of jug. Additionally, a short line in spout, a surface line in interior of spout, and a short line in shoulder.
