Two-Gallon Open-Handled Stoneware Jar with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Baltimore, MD origin, circa 1825, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder, squared rim, and open loop handles, decorated on the front and reverse with a vertically-brushed tulip underscored by a curving line. Heavy cobalt highlights to handle terminals. A sealed crack across underside, extending up side of jar onto shoulder. A shallow, glazed-over base chip.
