Glazed Redware Tobacco Jar, Stamped "JOHN W. BELL / Waynesboro, Pa.", circa 1880, cylindrical form with flared base, semi-squared rim molding, and applied rope handles, the surface decorated with streaked manganese and covered in a heavy lead glaze. Underside impressed with John W. Bell maker's mark. Excellent, essentially as-made condition. H 6 1/4".
