Glazed Redware Ale Mug, Stamped "JOHN BELL", Waynesboro, PA origin, circa 1840-1880, ovoid mug with tooled accent and flared rim, decorated with streaked manganese and covered in a clear lead glaze. Impressed with John Bell maker's mark on underside. Very nice condition with wear to rim, typical light wear to surface, and a 1 1/2" hairline from rim, visible on interior and barely visible on exterior. H 5 1/8".
