Rare Twenty-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar with Reversed "E", Stenciled "DONAGHHO CO. / PARKERSBURG, W.V.", circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder, semi-rounded rim, and applied lug handles, featuring a stenciled "20" flanked by spots, above the maker's stenciling, "DONAGHHO CO. / PARKERSBURG, W.V.". This example features a rare stencil error, in which the "E" in "PARKERSBURG" is reversed. Very nice condition with some wear to surface. H 24 3/4".
