Scarce Half-Gallon Stoneware Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Stamped "R.C.R. / PHILA.", PA origin, circa 1870, ovoid pitcher with footed base and tooled rim, decorated with two brushed tulips extending up the front. Collar decorated with brushed cobalt leaves. Cobalt highlights to handle terminals. Shoulder impressed with "R.C.R." maker's mark. Professionally-restored handle. Some restoration to surface, not affecting cobalt. Restoration to base chips. A few small, unrestored base chips. H 9".
