Lead-Glazed Redware Canning Jar, possibly New York State or Canada origin, mid 19th century, ovoid jar with tooled shoulder and narrow opening with flattened rim, the surface covered in a cream-colored glaze with pale-greenish cast. Excellent coloration with salmon-colored spotting throughout. Some glaze flakes to surface, primarily clustered into a 1 3/4" x 1 1/8" area on one side. Exfoliation to underside. Wear to interior of rim. H 9".
