Two Glazed Redware Jugs, Huntington, Long Island, NY or Norwalk, CT origin, second quarter 19th century, a highly-ovoid jug and semi-ovoid jug, each decorated with manganese daubs and covered in a clear lead glaze. Provenance: Collected in the Long Island, New York area. Smaller jug in excellent condition with minor wear. Larger jug with glaze wear to surface and some wear to spout. H (of smaller jug) 6 7/8".
