Half-Gallon Stoneware Butter Crock with Cobalt Floral Decoration, attributed to D.P. Shenfelder, Reading, PA, circa 1870, cylindrical crock with tooled shoulder and rim molding, decorated with an undulating vine culminating in a tulip blossom. Very nice condition with an in-the-firing chip to rim on reverse, a tiny nick to rim molding on reverse, and a faint surface line on underside, not visible on interior and probably in-the-firing.
