Fine Small-Sized Stoneware Presentation Pitcher with Cobalt Floral Decoration, Inscribed "MARY J. ZELLERS", attributed to D.P. Shenfelder, Reading, PA, fourth quarter 19th century, ovoid pitcher with flared collar, incised with the cobalt-highlighted name, "MARY J. ZELLERS", underscored by a scrolled cobalt flourish and flanked by flowers. Spout surrounded by a cobalt border with dashed brushwork on interior. Handle decorated with a vertically-brushed cobalt stripe. Excellent condition with a circular surface line on underside, probably in-the-firing, with a second surface line that continues off from it, extending 1/2" onto base. H 4 3/8".
