Unusual Slip-Decorated Redware Loaf Dish, probably Huntington, Long Island, New York or Norwalk, CT origin, circa 1840, with coggled edge, decorated with a jagged trail of yellow slip. Provenance: Collected in the Long Island, New York area. Losses to slip. A few rim chips. Dark residue to corners. A tight 3" crack from rim. L 12 3/4" ; W 8 1/2".
