Stoneware Canning Jar with Cobalt Stripe Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical form with tooled shoulder and wax sealer rim, decorated on the front with three boldly-brushed cobalt stripes. Numerous small chips to interior of rim and inner wax sealer rim. A 1" in-the-firing chip to bottom edge. H 6 1/4".
