Scarce One-Quart Stoneware Canning Jar with Stenciled Cobalt Star Decoration, Western PA origin, circa 1875, cylindrical form with inset wax sealer rim, decorated with four large, diagonally-stenciled stars. Excellent size and decoration. Rim chips. Some minor wear to inner wax sealer rim. A chip and a few very minor nicks to underside. H 6 3/8".
