Alkaline-Glazed Stoneware Jar, Stamped "G.P. SEIGLER / TRENTON, S.C.", Shaw's Creek, Edgefield District, SC origin, circa 1880, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and rounded rim, the surface covered in a streaky greenish alkaline glaze. Impressed at base with George P. Seigler maker's mark within an oval. Excellent condition with a faint 3 1/2" hairline from rim. H 9 1/4".
