Westerwald Stoneware "GR" jug with Incised Decoration, German origin, circa 1780, bulbous jug with tooled foot and heavily-tooled collar, decorated with incised flower petals surrounding an applied Georgius Rex medallion. An incised wreath flanks this central motif. Decoration and collar highlighted in cobalt slip. Incised "6" on shoulder. As-made condition with a minor contact mark on side and shoulder. H 6".
