Two-Gallon Cobalt-Decorated Stoneware Jar, Stenciled "WILLIAMS AND REPPERT. / GREENSBORO / PA", circa 1885, cylindrical jar with tooled shoulder and semi-rounded rim, the front decorated with a stenciled foliate design at the center of Williams and Reppert maker's stenciling. Shoulder and base with freehand stripes. Base with freehand "2" flanked by flourishes. Y-shaped hairline on underside. Tiny chips to inner rim. Some staining. Some light surface wear and a moderately-worn spot above the names "WILLIAMS".
